Best way to explain inspection rules to new subcontractors

I have a few new subcontractors on site who seem to think our daily checks are just me being annoying or trying to find faults. They keep asking why we need to document every little thing and it is starting to affect morale. How do you guys explain the importance of this process to people who aren't used to strict oversight? I want to get them on board with the safety culture without making it a constant confrontation. Any advice on how to phrase this to them?

It is always tough with new crews but I just tell them it is about protecting everyone's paycheck and the project timeline. If you need a simple definition to give them, you could explain what is a construction site inspection as a proactive tool to catch small errors while they are still cheap to fix. I usually show them examples where a missed framing detail or a loose guardrail could have stopped the whole job for weeks. Once they see that regular inspections actually prevent costly rework and keep the site running smoothly, they usually stop complaining about the extra paperwork. It is just part of the professional culture we have to build on every single site.
